Hummingbird Feeder and Accessory Sale!

All Hummingbird Feeders and Accessories 25% Off!

To celebrate what has thus far been an excellent year for enjoying hummingbirds, today through Saturday, September 12th, all hummingbird feeders and accessories are 25% off!

If you’ve had your eye on a new hummingbird feeder, or maybe you just are in the market for another, now is the time. We are currently still experiencing peak numbers of hummingbirds at our feeders, and there is still time to enjoy these birds through October. If you put up a feeder earlier in the year and became discouraged by a lack of interest in your offering, now is the time to try again!

Choosing the Right Feeder for You

With the number of hummingbird feeders to choose from, picking the right one might seem daunting, but today we aim to make it a little easier for you. We recommend choosing whichever feeder is the easiest to keep clean. A couple feeders we are particularly fond of are the Aspects Highview and the Dr. JB’s Clean feeder.

In terms of ease of use, the Aspects Highview is difficult to surpass. It consists of only two parts, so you can clean and fill it very easily. Because of this design, the feeder is also very easy to fill without spilling nectar. Another benefit of these tray style feeders is the inclusion of a built in ant moat. Simply put regular water in the center area, and you have a simple, safe and effective ant deterrent. We currently offer these feeders in both 8 and 12 oz. capacities that are regularly $29 and $32 respectively. During the sale, however, they are $21.75 and $24 before tax.

We also mentioned the Dr. JB’s Quick Clean feeder on our list of favorites. If you experience a high volume of hummingbird activity, we would strongly recommend one of these feeders. We currently have this feeder available in 16, 32, and 48 oz sizes. Another benefit is that the jars are all interchangeable, so this feeder can grow with your numbers of birds!

As far as jar style hummingbird feeders go, this one is easy to clean and replacement parts are available if need be. Throw in the fact that it is even dishwasher safe, and it has our stamp of approval. Oh, and the hummingbirds seem to like them, too!

Must-have Accessories

There are many different accessories you can get for feeding hummingbirds. For the purposes of today’s blog though, we are just going to talk about a couple of the most useful.

Ant moats are easily one our best-selling hummingbird accessories. As simple as they are effective, they work by putting a barrier of regular old water between your feeder, and the pole. Simply hang an ant moat from your existing pole, fill it with water, hang your hummingbird feeder below the ant moat and just like that, your problems with ants are a thing of the past. They really are that simple. Just be sure to keep water in it, as between evaporation and other birds (especially goldfinches and chickadees) they can go dry quite quickly. Most cost between $6 and $6.50, and with the sale price of $4.50 and $4.87, you can be ant-free for less than a cup of coffee or a parking space in Nashville!

Another useful accessory is the Songbird Essentials Best Combo Brush set. This brush kit includes a double sided port and bee guard brush that is quite small, and ideal for cleaning those hard to reach spots. The second brush included in the kit is a larger double sided brush ideal for cleaning the rest of your feeder. Regularly $14, the brush kit is on sale for $10.50
