Hot pepper suet is used to discourage squirrels from your suet feeder. Suet supplies a high energy food source and is very popular with woodpeckers, nuthatch, titmice, and chickadees. During certain times of the year, suet can also attract certain birds that don’t usually visit seed feeders such as eastern bluebirds, warblers, mocking birds, and wrens.
